You Aren’t Filler

When you sit there watching movies

—that I deem meaningless fluff—

scheduling conversations with your friends

I want to say:

schedule time with me

you’re mine and mine only

you’re the only one who makes me not feel lonely

fill the void in my heart

But I know that is not your role in this screenplay

And those aren’t the lines

the script writer gave me

all those years ago when I was born into this part
